"I learned about fashion in Paris, Johan, my husband, was born into it." During my time as a student and model in Paris I learned how to model clothes and a whole lot more concerning design and fashion - right in the lion´s den! Paris is still considered the capital of fashion and has been for as long as I can remember.
Along with Johan, whose family has run textile businesses for more than a century, I have up until now, been engaged in garment manufacturing for other companies. Although in 2008 we decided to take a step forward and has since launched both our own online store named Provrummet.se and our own collection with the brand name; Suzanne Nilsson, Sweden.
I've always loved clothes and above all creating clothes which flatter the female body. As we are all of very different build, my challenge is to get a garment to fit beautifully regardless of shape, to construct the garment in a way which makes it possible to wear it in different ways. To highlight female features; waist, chest, legs. Yes, we all have at least one feature that we like the most. I love to make beautiful clothes which may be combined in an individual manner, which provide endless opportunities for individual styling. My aim is to create clothes that I like to wear myself , clothes of very high quality at a reasonable price - this is my challenge.
Already as a young girl I enjoyed designing and making my own clothes, I purchased a sewing machine with my first income, but it definitely is my time in Paris which has inspired me the most, and made me want to create my own collection of clothes. This important time in my life gave me a taste of “the sweet life “- why I often put an embroidery on my garments with the French saying “ La Vie en Rose”.
Our ideas and design are exciting, well thought out and timelessly classic. The wearer of our garments wants to be noticed, feel confident and comfortable, and of course get a lot of appreciative looks and compliments!
